This season the Solent Area Basketball Association League will start earlier than anticipated and earlier than previous years.
The week commencing October 16th, (the week before Half Term) will see the first matches of the 2017-18 season played for Division 2 teams.
ALL PLAYERS MUST BE REGISTERED AND PAID BEFORE THE START OF THE SEASON! Without payments and registration numbers, we forfeit games. This means ALL forms, signed by yourselves and guardians, and emails from parents agreeing to make payments must be prompt! Forms will be handed out on Thurs 14th September. They need to be back by LATEST October 1st. (That gives you 2 weeks)
This year there are just 2 divisions, due to match-ups, playing levels, and losing a few teams.
Div 2 will be:
BCS Seahawks
Winchester Nets - beat them twice last year
Bournemouth Classics - good solid team, but could steal a win
Portsmouth Jam - strong 2nd place last year, but we could have won both games
Winchester Royals - finished 2nd in Div2 last year
Southampton Eagles - 3rd in Div 2
South Coast Tigers - 4th in Div 2
Southampton Uni Badgers - 6th in Div 2
Tres Barilles Heat - 7th in Div 2 joined together with Predators from Div3
Waterside Bucks - finished 9th (bottom) in Div2 last year
Hythe Stags - back after 2 year absence, previously Div 2.
