Barracudas Out Class Seahawks

Wed 9th March

Seahawks travelled to Bournemouth Uni to face the Dorset Storm Barracudas. I put myself back into the team to give us some height but in general we couldnt match the fast passing and hot shooting of the Barracudas.

In the first we held our selves together, trading baskets and getting some stops. Timo was shooting well and had been to the line a few times and when Rakhat drained a 3, and then Luke hit one "a la Steph" from way back as time expired, it was 21-28.

In the 2nd we self destructed. I added 2 before a 10-0 run saw them stretch it. We couldnt buy a basket and only added 5 to our total tally in the quarter. Their offence wa well practiced and with size on thier side they could penetrate and score, but also their outside shooting was nothing to be sniffed at. At the half it was 26-47 and seemingly out of reach.

The third was a little better, as we made a few inroads, but again they were just shooting too well and we had no response. 40-72 by 3.

The forth was similar. However in every quarter we continued to hussle. Never did we let the scoreline get the better of us, and we continued to show ourselves. Trading baskets to start the quarter 49-84, before going quiet and putting up to many forced shots to try and cut the gap. Some good D at the end, with our intention of keeping them in double digits worked and it ended 98-53.

[Scorers: T Schnabl 16, O Wood 12, H Mazloum 12, L German 10, R Kabdygaliyev 3]
