Friday 12th Feb.
Although we could make excuses about injuries and lack of players due to half term, in the end the Warriors were just too strong for the Seahawks in a 2 leg fixture in the SABA cup.
The first leg was a lack lustre performance and a 40pt differential was never going to be overhauled in the 2nd leg.
With major players missing due to half term we only had 7 players, (of the available registered 22) for the fixture at Kings School.
Although we were young, (the total years on our whole bench was probably less than one of their players) we a played a good game, slow and nervous to start, but still no match for the large, strong warriors.
Luke couldnt find his 3pt range until late. Hani was a little quiet on his normal driving strong game, after an initial, (probably a little harsh) offensive foul. Rakhat was shooting well, but was losing out on the slippery Kings court. Yousif was playing a solid strong game, but was always against bigger stronger men. Iraj was playing well but failed to find the bottom of the net. And Harry was always finding space in the corners, on the triangle offence and added his first senior points as a Seahawk.
It ended 49-85 on the night.
Good Luck to the Warriors in the next round.
