Strong Performance Against Heat but Fall Short

The Seahawks played well throughout the game against a strong Tres Barilles Team. With only 7 players available to travel on a friday night, it was going to be tough, but the players stepped up.

The first was a solid encounter, with the Seahawks closing the quarter strong to finish it 18-20 and some belief that if we stayed out of foul trouble, stay strong inside and cut out their 3-ball shooting we could compete.

The second the Heat just turned it up a little, coming inside to the big Ijele, when needed and finding space outside to extend their lead. 31-42 at the break.

The second half was much the same. Our guys playing and giving their all, but not enough to go toe-to-toe with the Heat. The lead was cut to 7 mid way through 3, before a stretch and run meant the game was put to bed. 53-70 at the end of 3.

In true Seahawks style though, we never quit and roll over and some great shooting from the Heat, which was all but returned by our guys, meant the game finished with a 20point margin, that was flattering for a great encounter. 67-87.

{Scorers: Wood 24, Strongman 18, Huang 15, Nwokolo 8, Lau 2]
